An absolutely sublime and brilliant film. Wonderfully minimal, Gulpilil is magnetic in the lead role. A searing commentary which simply evolves from the characters, rather than being obviously preachy. The landscape is a character in itself, one which Gulpilil inhabits perfectly whilst the others endure personal and physical struggles against it.
